The last Sunday of March is the traditional start of the summer aviation season. During the warm season, travellers will be able to choose from 80 direct, scheduled destinations at Lithuanian Airports, including both popular countries and new routes.

As European countries have increasingly relaxed pandemic restrictions, and in some cases waived them altogether, there has been a steady recovery in the aviation sector. According to Aurimas Stikliūnas, Head of Aviation Services at Lithuanian Airports, the summer season should see a new quantitative surge in passengers and flights.

“At Lithuanian Airports, we see weekly growth in flight and passenger flows. With the start of the summer season, we expect an even faster recovery. This will inevitably be boosted not only by the start of the holiday season, but also by the increased offer of destinations for passengers," said Stikliūnas.

He also pointed out that the list of destinations will be further expanded as some flights will be launched in late spring or summer.

Passengers are reminded that all current and planned destinations from Lithuanian Airports, as well as requirements for travellers, can be found in a dedicated subpage at www.vilnius-airport.lt/kryptys. This subpage also contains information on Kaunas and Palanga Airports.
