Norwegian extends Vilnius-Stockholm flights into winter

Air carrier Norwegian has announced that direct regular flights between Vilnius and the Swedish capital, Stockholm, will continue during the aviation winter season. Until now, the route was scheduled only for the aviation summer season. With the extension of the route, flights will be operated throughout the year: 3-4 weekly flights during the aviation summer season, and 2 flights per week during the aviation winter season.

“The extension of the Vilnius–Stockholm Arlanda route into the winter season highlights the strong and consistent demand between the Baltic region and Sweden. By offering year-round service, we are improving connectivity for both business and leisure travellers”, says Magnus Thome Maursund, Norwegian’s Chief Commercial Officer.

“We are pleased with the decision of our long-standing aviation partner – Norwegian – to further improve connectivity with the Swedish capital. Year-round flights between Vilnius and Stockholm will provide additional flexibility to plan trips for those flying for work, holidays, or to visit friends and relatives. As the desire to travel continues to grow, I have no doubt these flights will encourage more guests from Sweden to visit Vilnius,” says Simonas Bartkus, Chief Executive Officer at Lithuanian Airports.

Norwegian also operates regular flights from Vilnius Airport to the Norwegian capital, Oslo, and from Palanga Airport to Oslo and Bergen. Flight tickets for these routes are sold on the airline’s official website www.norwegian.com

In the record year of 2025, Vilnius Airport served over 5.11 million passengers – 6.4 per cent more than in 2024. Vilnius Airport also set new records in the first quarter of 2026.
