Stable growth at Vilnius Airport in summer
In the first 8 months of this year, Vilnius International Airport (VIA) served 962,714 passengers, which is a 10 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. In August, the number of passengers grew 7 per cent (148,281) compared to the same month last year.

Number of Star1 Airlines flights in winter is more than doubled
Star1 Airlines made this press release:
During the 2010-2011 winter season the number of Star1 Airlines flights operated from Vilnius shall grow more than twice, compared to last winter. Starting as of end of October, the Lithuanian low-cost airline shall fly to London daily, as of the beginning of November three flights to Dublin and as of the beginning of January – three weekly flights to Milan shall be operated every week.

A poster exhibition to celebrate our National Basketball Team
On the eve of the World Basketball Championship in Turkey, an exhibition was opened in the departure hall of Vilnius International Airport featuring large posters with photographs of all the members of the Lithuanian National Team.

Star1 Airlines shall fly to Munich
Star1 Airlines made this press release:
Bavaria Weissbier, BMW museum and Bayern FC match shall be easily reachable to Lithuanians after two hours flight. As of 15 November the Lithuanian low-cost company Star1 Airlines starts flying from Vilnius to the capital of Bavaria Munich.

New Exhibitions Filled the Spaces at the Airport
Two new exhibitions are now in place at Vilnius International Airport (VIA). The Lithuanian Central State Archives (LCSA) presents exhibits from two LCSA photodocument collections, i.e. “Lithuania - the Name of Freedom”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuania’s independence, and “The Curonian Spit”, which displays photos dating back to the 1920s -1930s.
