The European Low Fares Airline Association (ELFAA) is proud to announce that last year its members carried 162.5 million passengers, representing an 8.7% increase on the previous year.

The flight operations of Austrian Airlines are not directly affected by the strike at Lufthansa. All flights provided by Austrian Airlines are operating normally. Also, codeshare flights which are operated by Austrian Airlines on behalf of both airlines are not affected from the strike. The only circumstances under which customers of Austrian Airlines could be affected by the strike would be on codeshare flights being operated by Lufthansa on behalf of both airlines.

Finnair and the Finnish Airline Pilots' Association (SLL), which represents Finnair's pilots, have accepted a settlement proposal submitted today by National Conciliator Esa Lonka. The level of cost savings in the collective agreement is such that the proposal was acceptable to the employer.

2009 11 11 airBaltic Introduces Check-in Fee
Riga. On November 16, the Latvian national airline airBaltic will introduce a fee of EUR 5 per passenger for check-in at the airport. Members of the BalticMiles loyalty programme will continue to be able to check in for free.
