2009 11 23 Exhibition of pupils’ paintings on aviation at Vilnius Airport

The walls of the limited access zone of Vilnius International Airport have been decorated with colourful paintings of pupils. The paintings of pupils of Šalčininkai Gymnasium of Lithuanian’s Millennium are displayed in the departure halls where travellers wait for their flights after safety check.

2009 11 20 Flight to Milan shall connect Lithuania and Italy

Vilnius International Airport (VIA) informs that since 21 November, Saturday, the Lithuanian airline company „Star1 Airlines“ shall start regular flights from Vilnius to Milan.

2009 11 19 Vilnius International airport changes its style

Vilnius International Airport (VIA) changes its company style, system of visual communication and logo. The visual system which is being created by an advertising company “Milk”, shall replace the old one in the beginning of January, next year.

SAS resume flights from Vilnius

The Scandinavian company SAS shall resume regular flights from Vilnius International Airport to Copenhagen since 11 January, 2010. SAS shall carry passengers between Lithuanian and Danish capitals 2 times a day, in total 14 times a week.

Vilnius International Airport (VIA) has disposed of one of its activities which is cleaning of premises and territory, and entrusted it to private companies.

2009 11 10 On 10 November 2009 airBaltic communicated the following press release:

airBaltic plans to resume flights on five routes from Vilnius

At the press conference held today in the Ministry of Transport and Communications airline airBaltic informed of its plans to resume flights from Vilnius Airport before the end of this year. Before Christmas the airline will launch flights from Vilnius to Paris, Berlin and Munich, while flights to Amsterdam and Rome will be offered at the start of the next year.

2009 11 09 Vilnius airport becomes cheapest in Europe for new destinations

Vilnius International Airport (VIA) presented a new price formation to airlines which will promote new flights from Vilnius. This year VIA has already once reduced the passenger fee paid by airlines, which amounted to LTL 40.
