After having launched a new route between Stockholm and Vilnius on April 1, 2013, from August 19, 2013 Scandinavian Airlines SAS is doubling the frequency on this route: instead of current 6 weekly flights, the number of flights will be increased up to 12 per week, i.e. 2 flights per day on the weekdays, and one flight per day on Saturdays and Sundays.
On April 9, SAS launched its new app which can be used to book trips to all its destinations directly on a smart phone or tablet device. SAS customers can now easily book, check in, choose a seat on board and receive their mobile boarding pass on their phone or device. The SAS app has already been downloaded nearly 100,000 times. This is just one of the ways in which SAS is continuing to create innovative solutions that make traveling easier for its customers.
Vilnius, 22 April 2013: Wizz Air, the largest low-fare, low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe is celebrating the 2 year anniversary of its base at Vilnius. Wizz Air’s Lithuanian base opened on 16th of April 2011 and has since grown significantly, which underlines both, the popularity of Wizz Air’s low fares and commitment to Lithuanian aviation. Currently there are 2 Vilnius based aircraft with 22 local pilots and 40 local cabin crew members that operate on 14 routes flying to 8 countries including the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Norway and Ukraine. On April 8, 2013 Scandinavian Airlines SAS for the first time in the company history performed a direct flight from Copenhagen to San Francisco. The route will be operated six times a week, i.e. every day of the week except Tuesday.

Vilnius International Airport (VIA) introduced a new schedule of regular flights for the summer season at the beginning of April. The new schedule is supplemented with new routes and new carriers. This summer VIA offers flights to 41 airports. The new schedule shall be valid until 27 October.
Scandinavian Airlines SAS enters aviation summer season starting March 31, 2013 with more regular routes from Lithuania. SAS is launching a new service concept, replacing the previous service classes with two brand new alternatives: SAS Go for customers who want to have a lot and SAS Plus for customers who want to have more. SAS has worked with customers to develop these products, which meet the increasing demand for smoother and more time-efficient journeys for both leisure and business passengers. The new service concept will start on 9 June this year.
UTair - Ukraine press release: On March 22, 2013 the airline expands its route network, connecting the capitals of Ukraine and Lithuania. The regular flight will be operated three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and since the 27th of April it will be operated daily.
