RYANAIR LAUNCHES LITHUANIAN 2014 WINTER SCHEDULE, INTRODUCES 20 ROUTES INCLUDING LONDON, OSLO & PAPHOS
Ryanair, Europe’s favourite low fares airline, today (15 May) launched its Lithuanian 2014 winter schedule, with 20 routes in total in Kaunas and Vilnius, which will deliver 1.3m customers p.a. and support 1,300* on-site jobs at Kaunas and Vilnius airports.

For winter holidays SAS will offer direct flights between Oslo and Vilnius
Scandinavian Airlines SAS will offer its customers direct return flights between Oslo and Vilnius on December 19, 21, 26, 28, and on January 4 and 5 of the coming year. Flights between the Norwegian and Lithuanian capitals will be operated by Boeing 737-700, flight tickets will be available for purchase from May 13, 2014.

Turkish Airlines increase Vilnius service to 6 flights a week.
Due to strong demand on its Vilnius route, Turkish Airlines, the 3rd largest carrier in Europe, increases its flights between Vilnius and Istanbul today. Effective from the 28th of April, the schedule increases from 3 weekly to 6 weekly flights. The additional three flights operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays using Airbus 319 and Airbus 320 aircrafts, which are configured for two classes; Business and Economy.

Air Lituanica resumes flights to Amsterdam
Starting from 31 August the airline Air Lituanica launches daily flights to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The flights will be operated in the morning time. Passengers will have even more opportunities to travel across the world through Amsterdam by connecting flights.

Air Lituanica summer flight map to add Billund destination
Airline company Air Lituanica is to add one more destination to the summer season flight schedule and is to offer flights to the Danish town Billund. This destination shall become the ninth European city that can be reached from Vilnius International Airport with Air Lituanica.

SAS increases services to the US
Scandinavian Airlines SAS was the first airline to fly over the North Pole to the US West Coast in 1954. It is also now celebrating 50 years of service between Copenhagen and Chicago. In 2014, SAS is continuing to increase its traffic, adding weekly departures and a new route to the USA. In doing so, SAS is cementing its position as Scandinavia's biggest and most capable airline for travel to the United States.

Air Lituanica to launch flights to two cities of Sweden this summer
The connections between Lithuania and Sweden will be especially convenient this summer: the airline Air Lituanica will offer seasonal flights to two Swedish cities – Gothenburg and Malmö. Flights will be operated from the middle of June until the end of August twice a week on both routes at evening time.

WIZZ AIR ANNOUNCES A NEW ROUTE FROM VILNIUS LOW FARES NOW CONNECT VILNIUS WITH SUNNY LARNACA
Vilnius, 26 March 2014: Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe*, today announced a new route from Vilnius from June 2014. The new service will be operated on one of the airline’s new Airbus A320 aircraft from 22 June 2014 and will be a direct connection from Lithuania to Cyprus.

In May SAS increases the frequency on Stockholm – Vilnius Route
Since May 4, 2014 Scandinavian Airlines SAS increases the frequency on Stockholm - Vilnius route up to 28 weekly flights. Additional flights will be operated from the biggest airport in Sweden, Arlanda airport in Stockholm, on Sundays at 20:45 and on Mondays and Thursdays at 21:05. Additional SAS flights from Vilnius will be operated on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays at 6:40.

Vilnius Airport shared the good experience of the presidency of the EU Council with Riga Airport
Yesterday Vilnius International Airport (VIA) received a delegation of executives from Riga International Airport. Vilnius Airport invited Latvians to present VIA’s performance during the six-month Lithuanian presidency of the EU Council and to share the examples of the airport’s successful activities at the time of presidency-related events. Latvia will preside over the Council of the EU in the first half-year of 2015.
