InterVISTAS to assist in the Lithuanian airports' concession project
With the concession project underway, the Ministry of Transport and Communications and Lithuanian Airports are making the necessary arrangements and sign an agreement with InterVISTAS Consulting Group.  With a great deal of international experience, the companies will assist in drafting the terms and conditions for the concession tender, define the concession aims and objectives and negotiate with participants in the concession tender.

Vilnius Airport received an award for aviation marketing
Vilnius Airport received the Excellence in Airport Marketing award for aviation marketing at the international route development forum Routes Europe 2016 held in Kraków. In the under 4 million passengers category Vilnius Airport surpassed other European air gateways and was only excelled by City Airport Bremen.

Lithuanian airports record 17% growth in passenger traffic
During the first quarter of the year Lithuanian airports handled 17% more passengers compared to the same period last year. In January, February and March 914,000 passengers travelled through Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga airports. The passenger traffic showed a nearly identical growth in all three Lithuanian airports.

Lithuanian airports to offer even faster Wifi
The growing flows of passengers, their needs and the popularity of smart devices have driven the changes in the wireless Internet service at Lithuanian airports. The modern solutions improved the wireless connection throughput and speed and provided an opportunity for even more people to use wireless Internet at a time. What is more, from now on Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga airports offer a free wireless Internet connection under the same name - "Invest Lithuania FREE WiFi".

WIZZ AIR CELEBRATES FIVE YEARS IN LITHUANIA
Vilnius, 18 April – Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, celebrates the five year anniversary of its very first flight from Vilnius, Lithuania on 16 April 2011. Since then, the airline has achieved strong and consistent growth in the country and carried over three million passengers on it low-fare routes.

airBaltic launches direct flights between Tallinn and Vilnius
Riga. The Latvian airline airBaltic today, on April 18, relaunches direct flights between Tallinn, Estonia and Vilnius, Lithuania, significantly strengthening its positions in the Baltic region. The 10-weekly service will help  consolidate the Baltic market and reinforce its connectivity with 60 destinations in Europe, the Middle East and the CIS.

Lithuania expects an influx of tourists and businessmen from Switzerland
Today Vilnius Airport welcomes the first Germania flight from Switzerland. Although regular flights between the capital of Lithuania and Zürich will commence more than a month later - on 2 June - a delegation of Swiss journalists, bloggers, travel agents and airlines representatives is arriving in Vilnius for the weekend in order to present Lithuania as an attractive tourist destination in their country.

Lithuanian Airports: operating revenues are up, expenses are down
2015 was the first year when Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga airports operated jointly as the network of Lithuanian airports. It was the year which did not only see a record number of passengers reaching 4.2m but also a double increase in net profit. Compared to 2014, it soared up 74% to EUR 2.1m.

Vilnius Airport’s environmental policy evaluated internationally
Vilnius Airport was evaluated for its efforts to reduce the environmental impact and received ACI EUROPE’s Level 1 accreditation for the annual carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and carbon footprint. Independent experts confirmed that these indicators are in line with all the requirements laid down in the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) programme and the established ISO standards.

SAS to offer more summer flights to Stockholm
During the summer season Scandinavian Airlines SAS will offer even better possibilities for passengers flying from Vilnius to Stockholm to reach the capital of Sweden.
