Turkish Airlines increase Vilnius service to Daily
Due to strong demand on its Vilnius route, Turkish Airlines, the 3rd largest carrier in Europe, will increase its flights between Vilnius and Istanbul as from March 2015. Effective from the 29th of March, the schedule will increase from 5 weekly to daily flights. The additional two flights will operate on Thursdays and Fridays using 737-800 aircrafts, which are configured for two classes: Business and Economy.

„Aeroflot“ connects Vilnius and Moscow by air already for 70 years
On December 4, Vilnius Airport and „Aeroflot“ celebrated 70th anniversary of the Vilnius – Moscow flights. Russian airline started serving the route in 1944, and in the first year „Aeroflot“ carried 48 passengers, while last year there were over 132 thousand people travelling this route.

UIA launches ticket sales for international flights from the cities of Ukraine
Within the period of Summer 2015 Schedule Ukraine International Airlines will expand its route network from the cities of Ukraine by launching non-stop scheduled service from Odessa to Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Vilnius, from Lvov to Rome, Madrid, Bologna, and Tel Aviv, as well as from Kharkov to Batumi and Tel Aviv. Ticket sales are already open.

airBaltic launches flights between Vilnius and Amsterdam
On October 30, airBaltic launched a new direct route linking Vilnius and Amsterdam. The flight, which will operate three times a week, offers convenient connections between the two capitals, linking Vilnius via Amsterdam to the rest of the world, and linking Amsterdam to the Baltic Region.

Flights from Stockholm to Vilnius 10 times per week
“Air Lituanica is already known name to Swedish aviators. Turkish Airlines starts non-stop 5 weekly service from Vilnius to Istanbul
Due to strong demand on its Vilnius route, Turkish Airlines, the 3rd largest carrier in Europe, increases its capacity by offering a non-stop service between Vilnius and Istanbul. Effective from the 26th October 2014, the schedule will no longer feature Tallinn, instead it will be a non-stop service between Vilnius and Istanbul. The new service will run 5 times a week on Boeing 737-800 aircrafts, which are configured for two classes; Business and Economy.

Air Lituanica already carried 150 thousand passengers
The airline Air Lituanica has carried 150 thousand passengers during fifteen months of operation. The company plans to carry 200 thousand passengers during the next year. Over 50% of Air Lituanica passengers fly for business purposes, about 35% are tourists, and the remaining part of passengers are Lithuanians living abroad and flying to Lithuania to visit their relatives.

SAS launches new editorial concept
SAS is launching a new editorial concept called “Scandinavian Traveler”. The new brand is being rolled out in November and consists of a new onboard magazine which will replace “Scanorama”, website, web TV, social media content, and newsletters. It will provide broader content that builds on the varied interests of SAS passengers.
