Is it possible to carry syringes with needles for injecting insulin in cabin baggage?

A passenger may carry syringes with needles, insulin pens, an insulin pump or other diabetes equipment in their cabin baggage, when also carrying insulin. Diabetes equipment and insulin must be removed from cabin baggage beforehand and presented separately to the aviation security officer for inspection. We recommend that you pack all of these items in a transparent plastic bag and store them in your cabin baggage so that you can quickly remove these items and show them to the aviation security officer. When transporting needles, insulin pens, insulin pumps or other diabetes equipment, it is not required to present the aviation security personnel with a medical certificate that the passenger has diabetes and needs to inject insulin.
